MT Sound & Light are a small, local business based in Lincolnshire; formed in September 2002 by Mark Thomas as a 'provide all' technical company for theatre, events and parties.
Our aim is to provide a high quality, low cost service to theatre companies, schools, amateur societies, musical organisations, bands, corporate and private clients. Hire, installation and servicing available.
The Boss
MARK
Mark set up the company in 2002. He has worked as venue technician, theatre manager and sound and lighting technician across the region. He has a BTEC in Technical Production, a Theatre Engineering degree and has worked on hundreds of productions. He is also an experienced VJ and DJ and particularly enjoys entertaining at large scale events and parties.

Perfect for every occasion
We have 20 years experience performing across the UK. From London to Leeds, we are able to create custom playlists perfect for every occasion. We have played small function rooms in intimate venues and we have also DJ'd for large corporate events at concert halls. We have every number one UK single released since 1952 and an online database of over a million songs. We now also have a large selection of music videos and karaoke tracks that can be mixed live and projected at your event to add an extra dimension. All genres are catered for and requests are always welcome.

RADIO MICS
Sennheiser G4 systems available to hire
MT Sound & Light now has a full stock of Sennheiser G4 Channel 38 licensed radio mics available to hire with either handheld, headset or lapel transmitters. These systems are available from £75 per week.

We also have a comprehensive stock of cable mics including Shure SM58s, SM57s, Sennheiser Shotguns and specialist instrument and condenser mics.
LED LIGHTING
Shining a light on your event
State of the art LED lighting fixtures offer a lightweight and low power solution to lighting any venue. We have a hire stock of mains powered Hex LED (Red, Blue, Green, Amber, White, UV) floor or hook mounted Parcans and a set of battery powered up-lighters. We also have LED tubes (X-Factor style), battens and FX lighting.

SET DESIGN AND SET BUILDING
Making the Impossible possible
At MT Sound & Light we pride ourselves on our quality set design and builds. Our top priority is making it perfect for you, the production and the venue, using quality materials in order to keep weight low but maintaining strength. We have undertaken a variety of interesting projects from 4 metre high revolving wedding cakes, 5 metres flying crucifixes in chapels, revolving trucks with two interiors, touring sets that can be packing into the boot of a car and specialty cloth installs such as scrims, shimmer curtains and star cloths.

We have a stock of aluminium decking, backcloths and trussing to help build your stage.
​
All projects are priced individually.
INSTALLATIONS
Making it work for you
MT Sound & Light has a great relationship with quality suppliers of sound and lighting equipment and we also have the specialist skills and knowledge to install your equipment safely and for the best results. Our team are City & Guilds trained electricians and technicians and we have attended all statutory health and safety training for working at height, MEWP and risk assessment.

Previous installations have included school and village halls, theatres, music studios and sports and social clubs.

Making sure you're heard
We offer a variety of multi-purpose sound hire. We cater for different events such as party, conference, wedding, show, promotion, awards, exhibition and other occasions. Customer satisfaction is always our top priority. That is why we offer PA matched to the occasion. From small venues for 30 guests up to large scale musicals and concerts.

Our sound packages include a wide range of active and passive speakers. The brands we stock include Yamaha, Wharfdale, Bose, Proel and Peavey.

PAT TESTING
In safe hands
We undertake the testing and inspection of in-service electrical equipment to ensure all users are suitably protected from potential danger. This is conducted in compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, insurance requirements and IEE Code of Practice for the In Service Inspection and Testing of Portable Appliances. You will be issued with an asset register detailing all appliances tested including test results and any comments or recommendations. Each appliance will be labelled and given a unique identification number.
